J. Mark Fisher

J. Mark Fisher is a 1977 graduate of Ft. Walton Beach High School in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Florida State University School of Business in 1981 and his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 1984.

Mark Fisher has been a licensed Florida attorney since 1985 and has concentrated and limited his practice to the field of Estate Planning, Probate, Wills and Trusts and Trust and Will contests.

He lectures statewide on the topics of estate planning, asset protection, avoidance of inheritance taxes and the use of the Living Revocable Trust.  He published his first book, Estate Planning for Florida Residents, in 1995.  He published his second book, Spending Grandma’s Inheritance in 2005, which takes a humorous yet educational look at the true-life situations and the outcomes of his clients. He published his third book, How to Administer a Florida Trust, in 2017.

Mark Fisher has been teaching a class twice a year on Estate Planning, at the Fort Walton Beach campus of the University of West Florida for the past 23 years. He previously hosted radio talk shows on Estate Planning Law on WCOA 1370 am and WEBY 1330 am. 

Mark Fisher made presentations in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014, to other Florida Bar members for their continuing legal education (CLE) credits on the topics of: Drafting and Executing Trusts and the New Trust Accounting Rules; Estate Administration Procedures: Why Each Step is Important; Fundamental Understanding of Ethics in Trusts (2008); How to Administer a Trust Appropriately (2008); Foundations of Estate Administration Defined (2010); Probate Process from A to Z (2012); Estate Planning from A to Z (2014).  Mark Fisher has three offices located throughout the Florida Panhandle: in Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City, Florida.
